10 ‘must haves’ in your Christmas Wedding Clutch
You are a Christmas Bride!! The envy of many and the dream of most… and only you know what it is really like…the rush, the pressure and the effort behind having a wedding on Christmas day. Even though you have taken care of everything, there are 101 emergencies that may occur on your wedding day because you have had to do so many things at the same time. There are some emergencies that you can, however, take care of beforehand…by keeping your clutch ready and filled with emergency goodies.
Here are 10 things that you simply must have in your clutch. But first things first, have a purse that goes well with your dress. A pearl encrusted one will simply be gorgeous. Keep it close at hand during the ceremony.
Your lipstick. This is probably the one most important thing you need. In the rush and hurry, there are chances you will misplace your exact colour and brand for the day. So, keep 2-3 tubes of lip colour ready…just in case. You need not bother about the lip liner and the gloss but the colour is important.
Beauty papers. Keep a few sheets of beauty papers or oil blotting papers in your bag. You will probably thank your stars that they had been invented. It will not only keep the shine off your face for all those photographs, it will also refresh you during the moments of stress.
A Sewing kit. No, I am absolutely not joking. Who knows when you may need to fix on a tiny something that has come off? This is not to jinx your wedding but a safety precaution to just ensure everything’s fine!
Knick knacks. What exactly are knick knacks? Extra earring backs for one. A small bunch of safety pins for another. Put in some hairpins as well. And yes, some band-aids too, please. Cut out small strips of double sided sticky tape and keep a few of these. Wet ones, yes. A couple of mints. If you wear contact lenses, add a small bottle of drops. You should also keep one tablet at least of medicine for upset tummy, headache and allergy.
You mobile phone…Yes, you will need it, even or especially on your big day!
A concealer and foundation. This will help you hide your dark spots etc as the day wears off. A quick visit to the rest room can help cover up in an instance and you can return glowing.
Liquid correction and Chalk. This is just in case you are wearing a white gown. In caseyou are not, carry something in the shade of your gown. A quick application will help cover any blemish or stains that may unknowingly appear on a pristine wedding dress. Keep chalk as the first option because it will easily come off but liquid correction fluid workswonders in case of a bigger stain and no one will be any wiser.
I know you will have applied perfume and must be smelling great in your favourite fragrance but remember the day is going to be long and there is no way to go back for a spray. Just keep a tiny bottle of your perfume in your purse. After about 4 hours, you can spray yourself again.
Apply baby powder before you put on your dress because even in the middle of winter, believe you me, wedding dresses can be very, very hot. Carry a little of the baby powder in a napkin in your purse and after a few hours, apply some if you want to with some help of your Maid of Honour, down the back or up your legs.
Last but definitely not the least, mascara and eye pencil, and also the eye shadow if you must. Eye make-up runs the highest risk of getting spoiled so the best we can do is being prepared.
